Comments: This recipe went above and beyond. I added lots of pepper and seasonings along with the entire jar of spicy BBQ sauce (for extra sauce). It was by far, much more than my husband and I expected. Easy to prepare and smells great. I will definitely make this again!

Comments: I used Sweet Baby Ray's Barbeque sauce. The reg, not hot and spicy. I used 3 cups sauce and 3 cups cola, because I had nine pounds of meat. Pretty much the same as the recipe call for. At first I thought it was too much sauce, but it cooked down. I used Southern Style Pork Ribs. Very meaty, not much fat, and inexpensive. I cooked this big batch in my Nesco at about 325 for about 5 hours. It is fantastic, I am eager to take it to the party Christmas Eve. I kow it will be a hit, even with all the other food we wil be serving.

Comments: Since my teenage sons are pepsi fanatics, it was fun to find a recipe in which their favorite soft drink was one of the main ingredients. I told my sons we were having pork and pepsi sanwiches, for dinner. We were happy with the results. I found this recipe very simple to make, and also affordable, since the ingredients are easy to find, and not expensive to purchase. This would be a fun recipe for a teenagers party or get together.

Comments: I could tell this would be too plain.. I used a rub on pork first. Combo of Salt, pepper, garlic powder, some chili powder, and paprika..Used 1 full can of coke..Also, used full bottle of our Favorite BBQ sauce..An hour before ready, I sprinkled in some more of the spices..It turned out Fabulous! A keeper for my family.

Comments: When I think of Southern BBQ, I think of the South Eastern way of preparing it. I'm not sure what the cola does for the recipe, but good ole vinegar, Texas pete hot sauce, and crushed peppers cooked in the pork make a real good sandwich.

Comments: We love southern BBQ and found this to be a good match. After cooking, shred the pork and mix with it with the sauce that is in the crock pot and let sit in the crock pot for another hour, serve on buns with your favorite cole slaw. Taste even better then next day.

Comments: Although the meat was tender, the taste was bland. Salt and pepper didn't help. This recipe needs to be tweaked.
